Countless technicolor fish, endless exotic gardens of coral, turtles, eels snakes, sea-eagles, frigate birds cockatoos, bird of paradise, villages, swimming caves, bat caves, rock-drawings, villages and jetties, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, cruising through the dear archipelago waters. How the days dragged…
But it has been a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take a dip into another world, and thank you Karl, Linda and all the crew for making such a unique and special experience feel so natural and accessible. We have learned such a lot from your knowledge and understanding of this fragile world, and the trip will remain with us forever. And of course the food and service were both “top notch” (that’s English, Karl) – just please continue to make one other guest do not drink the “WORDER”. Thank you all again. Thank you everyone for a wonderful time in Raja Ampat. I loved every moment of it, even the times I was blue faced in my cabin with sea sickness (just a little bit less love for this). When I told my friends that I was going to Raja Ampat for a non-diving trip, they said “how are you going to have fun with that?” Well, add snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, floating through caves, hiking, bird watching, fishing, (baby) shark feeding, jumping off the boat, photography, having gourmet ice cream for breakfast, daily G&T o’clock, village visits, swimming with jelly fish, scenic boat rides around beautiful kaarst landscape, rare orchid spotting, singing & playing card games together and there – one of the best trips of my life. The crew were amazing too. Each going out of their way to ensure our safety & that we got to enjoy our activities. Mark must be a wonderful person & a good leader from all the great heartfelt stuff I hear about him from the crew. Thank you Mark for your leadership & Karl, Capt Wahyu, Capt Pai, Eric, Marwan, Bakar, Big John, Pak Jos, Anton, Bali, Chef Totok, Niko, Little John, Lulu, Jefri, Sadat for a magical 12 days. Our first ever trip to this beautiful part of the world and our first liveaboard experience has been MAGICAL. Grandiose scenery both above and below the sea. Karl directed us to the best of everything. Fantastic crew – always there to help encourage with a smile and good humor. Its for the cooking – we ate like royalty, every meal a taste sensation. We laughed a lot, ate a lot, learnt a lot and had the holiday of a lifetime. Thank you Karl and your amazing crew. Many thanks to Linda too for her encouragement and encyclopedic, knowledge of the wonderful “world of fish”. Raja Ampat, February 2018

Great trip. Thank you so much to everyone who made such amazing effort to look after us all so well. Thank you Karl for your attention to detail and your knowledge about the region, the diving and well . . . lots of things, and for being a great guy. Thank you to Fitri, Luluk, Totok, and Niko for amazing food, the lab dishes were my favorite, the variety and flavor of that kitchen is incredible. The girls were the most attentive hostess and everything is kept sooo beautifully clear and tidy.
To our dive guides Jefri and Sadat the biggest thank you on ever, every dive was safe and you looked after us so well, critter finding . . . amazing. To the boat crews a huge thank you. “Check check double check” All that hauling of gear, checking of gear, helping me into and out of the boat. Looking after us and always with the kindest attention & smile. To the Boats Captains and engineering crew on enormous thank you for your expertise and for keeping us safe at sea. All up. . . an amazing trip, great diving & lovely people to share. Thank yo so much. Raja Ampat, February 2018

Our first live aboard dive trip – we are forever spoiled for any future trips. The staff has been top notch, friendly, helpful, available, knowledgeable. The wait staff is very accommodating and works hard to get order right. Loved the Indonesian dishes, sauces, spices. Dive master know when to find the tiniest critters and work to make sure everyone get a chance to see them. Thank you to Sadat and Jefri. And big thanks to the dive boat crews who always have our equipment together and remind us to “check, check”.
Thank you to Karl for his expertise and hard work finding us dive locations that will be ours alone. Lots of behind the scene work to do for.
That! The boat, itself is a difficult – the hot water is amazing and the cabins and common rooms well appointed, comfortable, and attractive. I will miss this boat and the people who we met on this wonderful journey to Raja Ampat. Raja Ampat, February 2018

This has been one of the best dive trips ever. The crew do a wonderful job of attending for our need, both on board and below the surface. The dive loads we great at pointing out the sea live we would otherwise have missed. IN ALL, this trip was great. Raja Ampat, February 2018

My Indonesian Family on the magnificent Seven Seas did not fail to spoil us yet again above and under water during our extraordinary trip to Raja Ampat with my dear South Africans friends, the Barkers and Co. 🙂
Every dive was magical in its own special way, as there simply cannot be a bad dive in Raja Ampat. There were a few very memorable ones though… we had a few wild feeding frenzies of silversides with dense clouds of them being chased over the reef by packs of jacks, and even a hammerhead swimming by leisurely and close up, absolutely incredible. And then there was a large bottlenose dolphin chasing barracudas close to us, almost too good to be true!!!
The half moon brought mild currents, which were especially rewarding on one dive, where a dense carpet of fusiliers, mainly yellowtails, covered the reef and did not mind our presence among them, just covering us, magically. Very large schools of big eye jacks, barracuda and batfish were also plentiful, and we had what must have been the absolutely BEST manta dive anybody had EVER had, with a constant flow of VERY close up mantas at a cleaning station for the WHOLE dive, with mantas coming in and lying on other mantas to push them away from the cleaning station in order to have a go themselves, simply as good as it gets!!!
Thank you so very much Seven Seas!!! Already looking forward to our next trip!!!

Hi Karl,
Once again thanks for the best trip I have ever had on the Seven Seas, (sixth one), and that means the best trip I have ever done, irrespective. You and the entire crew are amazing. Everything just gets done with no fuss or bother. and with such friendliness and cheerfulness. You also laid on the most spectacular dives, you can claim credit for that as well. Also, my compliments to the Chef, the meals were quite superb, and so, I have put on a couple of kilos. Already looking forward to our next trip to the Forgotten Islands. Raja Ampat, February 2018.

We were 10 people, including teenagers and a toddler, and everyone had the time of their lives. The boat is spotless and comfortable, the dive sites breathtaking, and there are plenty of activities for non-divers too. The crew is outstanding—professional, friendly, and always attentive. The food was excellent, and every detail was taken care of. (Gluten free options available!) The Seven Seas is much more than a boat, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Highly recommended!Posted on Max Wind del OlmoSeptember 7, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Posted on Imca SchootsSeptember 5, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Posted on Alex del OlmoSeptember 5, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a wonderful 10-night family trip from Komodo to Sumbawa, and everything was simply perfect. The crew was attentive and kind, the food was excellent (and plentiful, with snacks always available), and the diving exceeded our expectations. We were lucky to encounter plenty of mantas and even 3 whale sharks, along with incredible dives throughout Komodo National Park. A special thanks to Cruise Director Angel, who always made sure we dived at the best times, with little or no current. Truly an unforgettable experience!Posted on Daos 4USeptember 5, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was the best experience of my life! Going on a diving trip with the Seven Seas is an absolute recommendation. The food is super delicious, the staff is helpfull, kind and you can ask them everything. The trip was beautiful and i saw sooo many gorgeous fish. Everything was organized very well and it was an awesome experience to never forget!Posted on Joppe SpaanSeptember 5, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Posted on Daniel HeighesJuly 23, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Will definitely be back for another trip !Posted on David Galvan PhotographyApril 21, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I just returned from a 12-day trip on the Alor-Komodo route and I have to say that the Seven Seas exceeded my expectations. It is a ship with a great history, very comfortable and with spaces to relax after the dives. The food is varied and excellent, the crew has been very attentive to us so that we enjoy the most of the stay on the ship and the dives. I liked that they take special care with the underwater cameras on the trips. The rooms are clean and really cozy. They have SUP paddle boards and kayaks on deck to take a ride and explore the beautiful beaches and areas during the trip. Without hesitation I will repeat the trip with the Seven Seas.Posted on James LangNovember 16, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Just back from the Forgotten Islands itinerary. Superb vessel for this area. Nice rooms and common area. Dive skiffs perfect. Both the whips for filling tanks blew during the first few days...so equipment was constantly schelpped up out of the skiffs. I had a dump valve on a bc damaged and a reg holder, but oh well. Food was great and meh at the same time. Have the mi goreng for breakfast everyday ! It was incredible....but the jumbo prawns we had were overcooked every time we had them, which was often. The vegetarians ate best I think. Our dive guides were awesome.
